Kedarnath Helicopter Crashed Update 2025: Two senior officials of Aryan Aviation Private Limited, Kaushik Pathak and Vikas Tomar, have been booked for alleged negligence leading to a helicopter crash near Kedarnath that killed seven people, including a two-year-old and the pilot.

All seven people on board, including a two-year-old child, died after a helicopter carrying Char Dham yatra pilgrimages from Kedarnath crashed near Gaurikund in Rudraprayag district early Sunday.

Officials said preliminary indications suggested that the crash took place amid poor visibility due to bad weather.

"At around 5.20 am on Sunday, the helicopter went missing after taking passengers from Kedarnath en route to Guptkashi. It crashed in Gaurikund, leading to seven deaths," said Inspector General (Law and Order) Nilesh Bharne. The site of the crash was Gauri Mai Khark, about 5 km upstream from Gaurikund.

A case has been registered against helicopter service operating firm Aryan Aviation Private Ltd for alleged negligence in connection with the helicopter crash which killed all seven people on board, including a two-year-old child and the pilot.

The complaint states that Aryan Aviation was allotted the first slot from 6 am to 7 am for helicopter operations on June 15, while this accident occurred before that at 5:30 am.

The first flying slot opens at 6 am.

Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami said it has been decided to set up a common “Command and Coordination Centre” in Dehradun for better coordination and safe operation of helicopters.
