Miss Universe India 2025: The Inspiring Journey of 22-Year-Old Manika Vishwakarma

A Glittering Night in Jaipur

Rajasthan’s own Manika Vishwakarma has been crowned Miss Universe India 2025, and she will now represent the country on the global stage at the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand later this year.

The grand finale took place in Jaipur on August 18, 2025, marking the second year in a row that the Pink City hosted the prestigious event. Out of 48 contestants, Manika claimed the crown, while Tanya Sharma (Uttar Pradesh) was named first runner-up, Mehak Dhingra (Haryana) second runner-up, and Amishi Kaushik (Delhi) the third runner-up.

She received the crown from her predecessor, Rhea Singha, Miss Universe India 2024.

Who Is Manika Vishwakarma?

Born in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, and currently living in Delhi, Manika Vishwakarma is more than just a beauty queen. She is a final-year student of Political Science and Economics, balancing academics with her passion for pageancy.

Her Achievements at a Glance:

  • Crowned Miss Universe Rajasthan 2024 before winning the national title

  • A trained classical dancer and an award-winning artist, with recognition from the Lalit Kala Academy and JJ School of Arts

  • Represented India at the BIMSTEC Sewocon, under the Ministry of External Affairs

  • Founder of Neuronova, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about neurodivergence and reshaping conversations around ADHD and related conditions

In her own words, Manika described her journey as one of courage and self-belief:

“My journey started from Ganganagar. I came to Delhi and prepared for the competition. We need to inculcate confidence and courage in ourselves. Everyone played a big role in this. Competition is not just a field; it is a world of its own that builds the character of a person.”
