Bollywood is set to witness a fresh pairing as Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana come together for the first time in Aditya Sarpotdar’s Thama — a bloody love story that blends passion, myth, and horror on a grand scale.

The teaser, released today, introduces audiences to a world where romance collides with terror, marking the first love story in Maddock’s horror-comedy universe.

What the Teaser Reveals



The teaser opens on a tender note, teasing an conventional romance between Ayushmann and Rashmika's characters. But just as the love story unravels, the narrative takes a dark turn — unleashing supernatural twists, eerie forest chases, and blood-soaked secrets.


Adding to the intrigue are Nawazuddin Siddiqui, playing the threatening Yakshasan — King of Darkness, and Paresh Rawal, who brings comic relief as Mr. Ram Bajaj Goyal.

About Thama

The story revolves around Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana), a historian determined to uncover the mythological roots of vampirism in Indian folklore. His journey collides with Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna), a beacon of hope caught between chaos and love.

The narrative moves fluidly between modern-day India and the ancient Vijayanagar kingdom, promising a gripping blend of history, mythology, horror, and unfulfilled romance.
